2015 Oscar Nominations: Rosamund Pike - Best Actress for Gone Girl, Keira Knightley - Best Supporting Actress for The Imitation Game, which scored 8 Nominations!

The 2015 Oscar Nominations were announced (one of the announcers was Chris Pine, KK's Jack Ryan costar) very early in the morning (5:30 am PT/8:30 ET),  and I'm very glad my Bennet girls Rosamund Pike and Keira Knightley made it in, in their acting categories and got Oscar nominated for Best Actress (Rosamund Pike) and Best Supporting Actress (Keira Knightley, her second! First was Best Actress for Pride & Prejudice, almost a decade ago, of course) as they should be. Gone Girl, however, only got one nomination! *shocking!* (and that was for Miss Pike only, which I'm glad she wasn't snubbed 'cause that would be just...#OMGICantEvenKnow (I was almost worried for her, lol...which I already was after the snubs of GG in other categories. That's unfortunate that GG film was almost completely shutout, except for RP. I was hoping, but not expecting, at least a 5 nominations for GG including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Score, and Best Director. Oh, well...at least, Rose got in, and to be honest...she's the only one I cared about that deserved to be recognized and nominated the most. So happy for her and her movie's huge box office success worldwide, which those 8 Best Picture nominees combine lack anyways...), while The Imitation Game scored a total of 8 nominations including Best Picture, Best Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch, and Best Supporting Actress for Miss Knightley. Also, Keira's Lost Star song from her other movie, Begin Again, is nominated for Best Original Song. I wonder if Keira (or KK and Adam Levine duet? I'd prefer just Knightley singing by herself...) would perform the song on the awards' night, since she's not a professional singer, she's shy and nervous about singing in front of people, lol...Inherent Vice (Jena Malone co-star) got a few nods as well as Oscar winner* Jacqueline Durran (*Anna Karenina) for Best Costume Design for Mr. Turner.

The 2015 Academy Awards will be hosted by Rosamund's Gone Girl co-star Neil Patrick Harris and will be held on February 22nd at the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® and televised live on the ABC Television Network at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. .

Here are the categories they are nominated for...

2015 Oscars Nominees Reaction...
via Deadline:

Best Actress
Rosamund Pike, Gone Girl

Pike was awakened tonight in the UK “for the first time by someone who wasn’t my baby, wanting food.” Commenting how her villainous yuppie wife Amy Dunne resonated with moviegoers, Pike said, “It’s funny, we did these (post-screening) Q&As and people ask, ‘Why wasn’t justice done?’ I think people get disturbed rooting for; she’s a scheming manipulator and one relishes her in the same way that they’re watching Hannibal Lector.” But with a fierce intensity, Pike kept Dunne real, ensuring that she was never over-toned, even in the most campiest of situations. “I remember the murder bed scene with Neil Patrick Harris and I said to (director) David Fincher, ‘I feel like I’m in a totally different movie. He said, ‘Oh, you are.’ There were sections of the film where it felt like a Rock Hudson-Doris Day picture, but I grounded Amy Dunne in a reality with a thruline from childhood to adulthood.” As far as future projects on the horizon in the wake of Gone Girl, Pike said, “I had my baby and I’ve been able to enjoy (this season) without being besieged. I’m not ready to go back to work yet.”

Best Supporting Actress
Keira Knightley, The Imitation Game

What an exciting morning! I'm so honoured and grateful for this nomination and to be in the company of such talented and inspiring actresses. Thank you to the Academy for this recognition and also for honouring so many of the film's storytellers. I would like to think the many recognitions the Academy has given our movie is a celebration of Alan Turing's legacy."
