New Layout

Image
You may have noticed the new slight changes to this blog upon visiting here today. I've just updated it with a new designer layout: Picture Window template by Josh Peterson . Powered by Blogger ... I kept the same header banner (as I love what has been up there for over 2 years now and besides I'm not good with making banners, so that's another reason I didn't change it...unless someone can make a new one for this blog I'll be glad to use it, lol). I added removed the a different menu links (below the main header banner)...at least temporarily, for now. I'll have it back up as soon as I have a new code to replaced the old one that fits the new layout's width. Also, I moved the sidebar contents from the right and now it's to your left (in case, you didn't noticed it...I may move it back to the right or play around with two side bars...we shall see, lol). Still working on this blog's other contents, so you may or may not notice some weird

Confessions of a P&P Blogger

Image
It is now truth universally acknowledged ...well, at least to my long-time and faithful readers of this blog that I love, love, love Pride & Prejudice ...the 2005 film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen . It's no secret here that the 2005 film was, is, and almost 5 years later ...still is to this very day, my personal favorite of the few adaptations I've seen of Jane Austen 's Pride and Prejudice (ie. the 1980 miniseries and 1995 miniseries , and a bit of the 1940 black-and-white film ) as well as other inspired of P&P film versions (ie. Bride & Prejudice , Bridget Jones's Diar y and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason , 2003's Pride and Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy , and 2008's "Lost in Austen" ). As open minded I am about any P&P adapted or inspired films I've seen (or heard), the 2005 film still remain on top of my must-see movies list (old and new), in my humble opinion, of course. After all, this blog

Listen to Matthew Macfadyen READ a passage from Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice novel!

Image
My friend and fellow P&P 05 fan , Sharon Lathan (author of The Darcy Saga novels) brought to my attention (via her facebook ) our favorite Matthew Macfadyen aka Pride & Prejudice (2005) film's very own Mr. Darcy , reading the original first proposal passage of  Jane Austen 's classic novel Pride and Prejudice ! on a podcast from The Carte Noire Readers . Thanks Sharon! MM sounds AWESOME! I love the sound of his voice. His voice is so sexy and soothing to listen to...I was "bewitched body and soul" listening to him, lol. To quote Lizzy's aunt Mrs. Gardiner from P&P, "There's something pleasant about his mouth when he speaks." He should've read the entire book and I wouldn't mind just melting to the lovely sound of his voice listening to his darcylicious voice all day and night, 24/7... :) Here's the link to where you can listen to Matthew reading P&P novel . You can also download the podcast episode (fo

Video Interviews: Keira Knightley's Pride & Prejudice Promo Interviews

Image
I thought I'd compile and post here the following Keira Knightley ' s video interviews (unfortunately, I can't find any Matthew Macfadyen interviews during P&P's promotions ) when she was promoting Pride & Prejudice back in 2005! Check out and watch Keira 's very interesting interviews and her thoughts about her Oscar Nominated role, the iconic Elizabeth Bennet and why she thinks her P&P co-star Matthew Macfadyen was "a perfect Mr. Darcy" and lived up to her expectations "absolutely, 150%! I mean HE blew away my expectations of the character, you know..."   [source: KelsiKnightley ] Did Matthew Macfadyen live up to your expectations of Mr. Darcy? “ Absolutely! A hundred and fifty per cent. I mean he blew away my expectations of the character . Joe (Wright) wanted Matthew right from the beginning and I´ve been a huge fan of “ Spooks ” and thought it was amazing, but I couldn´t imagine him as Mr. Darcy

Filming Update: Behind the scenes and on set photos with cast and crew of Pride and Prejudice 2010

Image
Filming for the upcoming independent feature film, Pride and Prejudice (2010) , a modern day tale of first impressions started earlier this month ( May 8th ) in Colorado Springs, Colorado (USA). Director Bonnie Mae has been keeping me updated on the filming status of this film and as usual, she was awesome enough to have sent me the following BTS and on set photos and had given me permission to post them here as well. Thanks a lot Bonnie! :)  These photos were taken on the first weekend of filming ( May 8-9, 2010 ) as they only film on the weekends. Check them out below! Watch the teaser trailer for Rosamund Pike's Barney's Version film!

Image
The teaser trailer for one of Rosamund Pike 's upcoming films, Barney's Version (an adaptation of Mordecai Richler novel , which was directed by Richard Lewis ) has just been released. Rosamund is sporting a long, dark hair (probably a wig or extension hair) and is speaking an American accent for this film? That's what it sounds like in the teaser trailer, which you can check out and watch for yourself below. The scene at a subway/train with Miriam reading and Barney running after her by the window looks funny, lol... Barney's Version tells the picaresque and touching story of the politically incorrect, fully lived life of the impulsive, irascible and fearlessly blunt Barney Panofsky . Rosamund Pike plays the character Miriam , Barney's third wife and true love . She co-stars with Paul Giamatti (Barney Panofsky), Twilight/Newmoon's Rachelle Lefevre (Clara, Barney's first wife), Minnie Driver (Mrs. P, Barney's second wife), and Dustin Hoffman (as

Image
Sorry for the long delay...I didn't forget about this, as I had originally planned on posting this here about a month ago or so...but alas, things don't always go as you plan as it often does...so let's just leave it at that, lol...besides, it's posted here now... ;) So, as promised, here are my P&P 2010 Men Interviews . First...There's a slight change of the interviews though, as originally, I was going to interview 4 actors of the Pride and Prejudice (2010) film, but as previously posted here , James O'Hagan-Murphy , who was originally cast in the role of Mr. Hurst was replaced and the interview I had planned to do with him didn't happen as well, unfortunately. He seemed like such a nice guy...Oh, well, I wish him all the best. Fortunately, I still have three other fun interviews to share with you all from the following P&P actors : Mark Mook , James Hawthorn , and A.C. Earing , who will be playing three of the important supporting roles
